What to expect in an Alexander Technique Workshop

Large workshops of 20 or more and smaller groups for more in depth learning are available.

Participants learn through group activities, body mapping and gentle movement that we incorporate into their discipline, whether in the arts or in everyday activities to help them undue unnecessary tension and stress.

I am a professional violist and passionate educator. I spent several years studying music performance, achieving a bachelor's degree, master's degree, and artist diploma in the discipline. After years of experiencing debilitating pain and anxiety, much of which was related to my activities as a performer, I discovered the Alexander Technique. Over the past 8 years, the Alexander philosophy and process transformed my life in remarkable ways and inspired me to become a certified Alexander Technique teacher so that I could help others experience similar transformations.
I have 6 years of intensive, in-person, hands-on training from the Philadelphia School for the Alexander Technique. Upon graduation, I received national certification to teach and am currently pursuing international certification. I have years of experience in leading remote and in-person sessions and workshops for college classes, individuals, and groups.

Classes are playful and experimental. I provide a safe space for students to explore learning to combine tactile, kinesthetic, visual and social stimuli into one sensory soup!
Movements are not strenuous and can be tailored to your needs. Movements range from supportive lie downs to improvisatory movements. I love thinking outside the box

Movements are not strenuous and can be tailored to your needs. Movements range from supportive lie downs to improvisatory movements. I love thinking outside the box and bringing a quality of fun and play to my classes no matter what your age!

I aspire to help you find better balance and greater ease in your body, whether you are trying to improve your artistic craft or to reduce your anxiety or pain.
